Reclaim's Mongolia Retreat was my first (a) Yoga Retreat and (b) Group Travel trip (& as a solo participant). Count myself lucky to be a Reclaim Alum & will be back for more! Jools & team did an fantastic job balancing the travel, trip-experiences & yoga across two magnificant destinations. While each of the 10 days flew by, the pace remained unhurried and I was able to fully engage through all the activities. I really appreciated how the team fostered a warm & friendly environment across the small group, and it was a truly lovely communal experience. Major shout-out to Kelly for the menu & food as well - I am not a vegetarian, but did not miss meat at all over the trip! Yoga with James was eye-opening as well, with the yurts providing a really grounding experience. We all received personal attention/modifications during the group classes that catered to varying levels of practice. Beyond the new poses & transitions, my foundation has really improved with his attention to micro-detail & expertise across breadth, movement & focus. Grateful to have been a part of this trip & massive thank you to Jools & James for the experience. 10/10. Highly Recommended!

I did the Mongolia retreat with James this year and it was excellent. Jools does an amazing job of combining a unique experience with an amazing yoga teacher. I can't wait to do another one with reclaim yourself!

Excellent - I’ve been on four retreats (South Africa/Namibia, Japan, Norway, and Iceland) and signed up for two more. Small, well-led, great yoga, great destinations. You are very well taken care of, and the company’s retreats always minimise environmental impact and maximise wellness.

I recently had the privilege of attending a yoga retreat with Reclaim Yourself to Mongolia. It was perfect! The yoga classes were led by James Rafael. The class size was small which allowed personal attention to all students, there was meditation, breath work , a powerful flow and the occasional workshop threaded in, teaching new poses and refining old poses. It was the perfect beginning and end to each day. Sleeping in yurts was new and a fun experience. One night I even scored a 98 sleep score. The vegetarian meals were outstanding, thanks to Kelly and the camp personnel . The transportation was another highlight of the trip a train ride to the Gobi desert, and Jeep excursions in the gobi and then to the next camp, traveling back trails. Then you add in the hikes and horseback riding and hot showers in the shower tent, by candlelight all coordinated by Jools. Perfect.

Several weeks have passed since my retreat in Bhutan with ReclaimYourself . I have had weeks to reflect and notice how I Feel and how I was affected by my experience . When I left I felt that the trip was a 10+++ . Extremely well organized , leaders who care about their clients and are clearly invested in their well being and just a fabulous time all the way around . After all these weeks , I still feel like the trip and company is a 10+++ . I would highly recommend Reclaim Yourself to anyone if you are looking to combine adventure with some yoga and retrospection . This group and company is wonderful!! You can’t go wrong with any of their offered retreats!! ❤️

Bhutan is extraordinary on its own — but experiencing it through this retreat elevated it into something truly transformative. From the moment we arrived, every detail was thoughtfully held. Our guides and drivers were exceptional. Patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring, they kept us safe and well-informed through every hike and excursion, and their warmth made the whole journey feel personal rather than programmatic. The yoga was outstanding. I came hoping to deepen my practice and left having done exactly that. Matthew is a gem — his instruction and presence created a space where I felt fully supported every single day, on and off the mat. What sets this retreat apart is the rare combination of rigorous practice, breathtaking landscape, and people who genuinely care about your experience. Bhutan has a way of cracking you open, and having the right container for that makes all the difference.

It’s hard to put into words just how wonderful this retreat was. Carefree, culturally connected, sustainable by design, and deeply personal. I felt incredibly cared for every step of the journey to Bhutan. Jools was exceptionally thoughtful and generous with her time, knowledge, and passion for connecting people from all walks of life with meaningful experiences. She was and amazing bodyguard at the Delhi airport, and a steady support system for the group, and a savvy strategic planner who stayed 10 steps ahead at every moment. As a yogi, it was also incredible to have access to a world class instructor. I was really impressed by how selectively Jools chooses partners like Matthew that truly deepen your yoga practice in a meaningful way. If you’re looking for a life-changing adventure with a group that goes deeper than the average travel company, considers every experience, and leaves the world a little better in the process, this is the perfect opportunity to do something truly special for yourself.

You won’t find a retreat that inspires you, calms you, and genuinely immerses you in culture and connection the way Reclaim Yourself does. Jools, Chloe, Matthew, and the whole team go above and beyond to make sure you feel truly cared for. Chloe was so lovely throughout, and Matthew’s yoga sessions were such a grounding and special part of the experience. The friendships you make last a lifetime. Thank you all -you gave me so much more than just a retreat!

I’ve done 2 retreats - one in Greece and the second in Bhutan. Both retreats were incredible from start to finish. The yoga teacher Matthew is so warm and caring. Jools and Chloe keep the group organized and thought of everything. It was so nice to feel completely cared for during the trip. I am absolutely impressed with their commitment to sustainability and impacting the local community in a positive way

Step into a world of pure winter magic on our 6-night wilderness and wonder retreat—an unforgettable escape into the breathtaking landscapes of Finnish Lapland. This is not just a retreat; it’s an adventure into the wild, where snow-draped forests, husky-powered sleds, and soul-soothing saunas await.
Each morning begins in the most rejuvenating way—a traditional Finnish sauna to gently awaken your body, followed by a 90–minute flow yoga class with Matthew, stretching and strengthening you for the day ahead. Then, fuel up with a hearty breakfast ready for a day of epic adventures.
As the day winds down, we’ll gather for a slower, more restorative evening yoga session, designed to help you unwind, stretch out any tension from the day and fully integrate your experiences. And with any luck, as you step outside after class, you might just witness the awe-inspiring Northern Lights dancing across the Arctic sky.
Sunday – Snowshoeing in the Arctic Wilderness Strap on your snowshoes and venture deep into the untouched beauty of the Lappish wilderness. Guided by our Finnish experts, you’ll trek through glistening forests and across frozen landscapes, learning about the magic and mythology of the Arctic.
Monday – Huskies & High-Speed Sledding A true Arctic highlight. We’ll visit our friends at a small, family-run husky farm, where you’ll meet their incredible pack of sled dogs. After bonding with these beautiful animals, it’s time for the ultimate thrill—self-driving a husky sled through the vast, snowy wilderness. Feel the rush of icy air as your team of huskies races across the landscape, an adventure straight from a winter dream.
Tuesday – Sauna & Ice Plunge by the Frozen Lake Experience an essential Finnish ritual—a lakeside sauna and ice dip on the shores of Lake Äkäslompolo. Relax in the heat of a traditional wood-fired sauna, then take a dip into the icy water for a revitalising experience. Warm up by the fire, sip on a hot drink, and let the magic of the Arctic work its wonders on your body and mind.
Wednesday – Choose Your Own Adventure or Simply Unwind This is your free day to embrace whatever calls to you. If you’re craving more adventure, you might choose to go skiing, snowboarding, or snowmobiling for an extra thrill. Or perhaps you’d rather slow down and soak up the tranquility of our beautiful cabin, relaxing in our private sauna or curling up by the fire with a book and a warm drink. Whether you seek excitement or deep rest, this day is yours to enjoy.
Thursday – Arctic Sauna World & Ice Dipping For our final day, we visit the legendary Arctic Sauna World, where four unique saunas await, each designed to cleanse both body and spirit. Gaze out over the serene Lake Jerisjärvi as the heat works its magic. Feeling bold? Take the icy plunge into the lake’s frozen waters—whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned winter swimmer, this is an experience that leaves you feeling utterly alive.
This retreat is an adventure like no other—a fusion of wild Arctic beauty, thrilling winter sports, and deep relaxation. Are you ready to embrace the magic of Finland?
Our Finland retreat is tailor-made for our Venture Travellers*.
This retreat is perfect for those with an adventurous spirit and a passion for nature. A good level of fitness is essential as we will have a snowy adventure every day, alongside invigorating yoga sessions. Be ready for a challenge and to sometimes be out of your comfort zone.
It will be cold and snowy so you’ll need good boots and warm layers (our hosts provide winter overalls for husky sledding). If you are skiing or snow boarding, you’ll need your own ski clothing but you can rent ski and snow board equipment.
Matthew is a seasoned Vinyasa Yoga teacher known for his grounded, strength-based approach and dynamic, intelligently sequenced classes. He’s dedicated to empowering you with the ability to improve your fitness and to find mental resilience both on and off the mat.
Morning practices will be dynamic, 90-minute vinyasa flows—invigorating, sweaty, and grounded in functional strength. Evening sessions will slow things down with gentle flow, restorative yoga, and yoga nidra to ease the body and settle the nervous system.
All levels are welcome, with options to “level-up” or “level-down” throughout. That said, to get the most out of the retreat, some prior experience with vinyasa yoga is recommended.
Yoga takes place in our spacious living room on this retreat.
