First we travel by boat to Isla San Cristóbal at for 7 nights in reef cabins dotted along the shore and hidden in 145 acres of vibrant jungle, home to many resident sloths and monkeys. After a week of immersing ourselves in simple off-grid life, we head to Isla Pastores to spend 3 nights in beautiful ensuite cabins built into the hillside.
Each day you’ll practice yoga with Jean while enjoying the sounds of the jungle and gentle lapping waves. You’ll eat delicious food served on a large deck set over emerald green waters, swim, paddle-board and kayak around the lagoon or snorkel over the colourful reef. At night both islands are surrounded by bioluminescent waters under star-filled skies.
Your retreat includes a trip to Starfish beach on Isla Colon which has a beautiful white sandy beach with crystal clear calm waters, home to some gigantic bright orange starfish and to a wonderful permaculture and chocolate farm on Isla Bastimentos.
Who's Teaching: Jean Hall

Jean teaches a strong, soulful slow flow form of yoga. She is known for her unique creative sequencing of postures which helps to draw students and teachers safely beyond limitations and closer to their true potential and confidence through the ancient yogic system of asanas, mindful breathing and meditation with an approach of devotion and playfulness.
You’ll have a 2 hour morning practice where breath work/pranayama unfolds into a fluid movement and dynamic yoga asana flow to awaken, invigorate and cleanse. Your evening practice will be 1.5 hours of gentle, calming and healing with yin and restorative poses, inversions, meditation and deep relaxation (yoga nidra). Try a free class with Jean here.

We have a maximum of 12 places available for this retreat.
Our first location is a modest off-grid eco retreat. We have 4 bright and airy cabins that sit on stilts directly over the lagoon. These cabins feature solar power, a simple toilet and cold water shower, a fan and a private deck. We have 1 more cabin set in the jungle, which features solar power, a shared outdoor compost toilet, cold water shower and a fan. Sleeping in these cabins is a special experience – you are truly glamping in a tropical wilderness. The cabins are fully screened so no insects or animals can get in!
Our second location offers more comfort with 5 beautifully designed cabins set on a hillside. The cabins are all ensuite, with warm showers which you’ll appreciate after a week of glamping!
This retreat is for the adventurous yogi traveller. Our locations are remote we travel around in local boats, so if you suffer from sea sickness this may not be the retreat for you.
Our main accommodation is simple and off-grid with compost loos and cold showers. If you love glamping and have an adaptable mindset, this is good trip for you. You’ll need to have a good level of fitness for this trip so that you can enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding and exploring the islands in the tropical heat.
There is wildlife around, including spiders, and possibly scorpions and snakes. It’s unlikely that you’ll encounter these creatures and they cannot get into your cabins, but people with phobias should be warned. A love of animals is ideal – two friendly dogs live at our first location and they are big paddle boarding fans, so will try and jump on your board if you’ll let them!
