Our Patagonia retreat begins in a remote nature reserve, deep in the Río de las Vueltas valley—a hidden corner of the world where nature speaks in silence and scale. Each morning, we’ll flow through slow, strong vinyasa with Meghan—anchored by meditation and designed to energise us for the trails ahead. In the late afternoons, we’ll return to our mats for soothing Restorative yoga, using stillness to settle the system and integrate the day. There’ll be time to pause, breathe, and reconnect—with yourself and the wild beauty around you.
This is true hiking country: soaring peaks, glacial rivers, and valleys carved by time. We’ll walk through ancient forests and along mirror-like lagoons, following trails that lead into the heart of Patagonia’s raw and powerful terrain.
Led by a local park ranger, we’ll take on three spectacular hikes: the shimmering Milodón Lagoon, the Cagliero Este Glacier, and the legendary Laguna de los Tres, with its postcard views of Mount Fitz Roy. You’ll also have time to rest, read, or create your own rhythm—whether it’s kayaking on Lago del Desierto or a gentle trail closer to home.
After five nights in the mountains, we’ll travel to El Calafate for the final chapter of our retreat. Our base is a peaceful, family-run estancia just outside town, with open skies and views across the lake. Here we’ll slow down and take in the last wonder of Patagonia: a reflective walk to view the Perito Moreno Glacier, with the option to add a boat trip for an up-close look at its towering ice walls—or simply take in its power from the land.
This is more than a retreat. It’s a journey into Patagonia’s elemental magic. Are you coming?
Who's Teaching: Meghan Hunter

Meghan teaches vinyasa, restorative and meditation practices. She has spent the last fifteen years teaching yoga in public schools, hospital settings, internationally, and privately. Her teaching combines the best of modern science and ancient wisdom, with a strong emphasis on balanced sequencing.
On this retreat we’ll begin each morning with a fifteen minute centering meditation, followed by a seventy five minute vinyasa flow. The vinyasa practice is slow but strong, designed to awaken and invigorate the body and prepare us for our time on the trails. With a focus on intentional movement and steady breath, we’ll cultivate awareness and move with a balanced approach to building both strength and flexibility. Expect just enough challenge to energize you for a full day immersed in nature. While all levels are welcome, some prior experience with vinyasa is helpful.
In the late afternoons, we’ll return to our mats for a system soothing Restorative Yoga practice. Through profound quiet, long held shapes and stillness, these practices offer time to rest and more fully integrate the experiences of the day. This afternoon practice may be offered daily or on select days throughout the retreat.
We have space for 13 guests on this retreat, with a mix of five single rooms and four twin/double rooms. All accommodation falls within our Simple category.*
You’ll be staying in two different locations during the retreat.
We begin with five nights in a private nature reserve near El Chaltén, surrounded by forest and dramatic mountain views. The lodge has eight cosy ensuite rooms, each with large windows looking out to the Patagonian wilderness. Thoughtfully furnished with locally sourced, reclaimed materials, the rooms are simple yet full of character. Wi-Fi is available at scheduled times.
We then spend two nights on a charming family-run farm on the outskirts of El Calafate. Accommodation here is spread across three eco cabins and three spacious houses. The single rooms have ensuite bathrooms, while twin/double rooms share bathrooms between three rooms. The setting is peaceful and homely, with views across the open steppe.

This retreat is designed for the Bold Traveller*—someone with a strong sense of adventure, a high level of fitness, and a deep appreciation for remote, rugged places. You’ll need to be fit, well-prepared, and open to the wildness of Patagonia, where nature sets the pace and simplicity allows the landscape to shine.
Expect to be out exploring on foot most days, with breathtaking hikes and active adventures woven into the rhythm of the retreat. One of the highlights is the challenging full-day hike to Laguna de los Tres—a demanding 22km journey that takes around 9 hours and requires stamina, sure-footedness, and an injury-free body to fully enjoy.
If this hike isn’t for you, there are still ways to enjoy the landscape—alternative self-guided walks and optional kayaking offer more gentle, independent ways to engage with the surroundings. But overall, this retreat is best suited to those who love to move, explore, and embrace the raw beauty of the wild.

Responsible Retreating in Patagonia
We are committed to operating in an environmentally and socially responsible way which includes being transparent about the current eco-credentials for each retreat.
Our El Chalten location is off grid, so they had to create everything from scratch while trying to be as sustainable as possible. Electricity is powered by solar energy, the sun is very high in Patagonia during the tourist season and this is the most sustainable option. Water is from a spring and they have biodigesters so they do not contaminate. They serve water from the spring at the table during meals and they do not offer plastic bottle unless asked for. And every year they incorporate new actions to be more sustainable.
