Our yoga weekend location is in the wilds of the Cairngorms National Park, voted one of the top 20 places to visit by National Geographic Traveller. You’ll sleep in 5 cosy cottages nestled together in a peaceful dell.
On Friday we’ll settle in, practice some yoga and explore our peaceful location, enjoying riverside walks and forest wandering – slowing down and adjusting to our rural weekend home.
On Saturday you have the option to book a 5 hour gentle hike in the National Park with an experienced local guide and conservationist. You hike through Abernethy forest and up mountain paths, spotting wildlife along the way before reaching our 400m summit to enjoy magnificent views of the Cairngorm mountains.
On Sunday you have the option to book a 1.5 hour guided mindful forest walk, where you’ll be given some headphones and wander through a magical forest listening to beautiful music. There is also time to book in for a massage or facial and if active relaxation is more your thing we can organise wild swimming and mountain biking.
After a big breakfast on Monday, we will send you on your way home, replenished and energised.
Who's Teaching: Lucy Bishop

Lucy is an inclusive yoga teacher and movement specialist who has been teaching yoga since 2015. She loves working with students of all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities, helping them feel comfortable and empowered in a fun and inclusive space.
On this weekend retreat you’ll have 5 x 90 minute yoga classes. In the mornings she will teach an embodied, playful and strengthening style of vinyasa flow which integrates pranayama and meditation. In the evenings she will teach more restful and reflective practice including Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra.
Lucy creates joyful and focused classes that meet you where you are at, leave space for questions, invite you to leave your ego at the door and have a giggle in community.

We have space for 20 people in 6 cottages. The cottages are cosy and comfortable, with a sitting room and kitchenette. The cottage are range from 1 bedroom to 5 bedrooms and all the cottages have shared bathrooms.
Our chefs will be creating delicious, vegetarian meals which are served in a beautiful cosy tipi. Meals are created with fresh ingredients that are available seasonally and sourced from local suppliers.
You’ll have a hearty breakfast, a packed lunch and a delicious dinner feast. We can accommodate most special dietary needs but please do let us know in advance.
This is an alcohol free retreat.
This weekend is suitable for everyone. The yoga classes will challenge you but are created to be suitable for all levels. Activities are optional so you can choose how much or how little you do – choose from a gentle long hike or a shorter forest walk, cycling and swimming in the loch.
Your accommodation is cosy and comfortable in traditional cottages – it is not 5 star luxury and nearly all rooms have shared bathrooms bit all the cottages have been beautifully restored. We practice yoga in the village hall which is 10 minutes walk from our accommodation and we eat in very impressive heated tipi.
Please arrive at 4pm on Friday 29 August and we’ll finish at 10.00am on Monday 1 September.
