Our Iceland retreat location is a peaceful wilderness far away from the tourist hotspots. We have created a five day programme that combines yoga with lots of exploring with our brilliant Icelandic hosts and time to enjoy the thermal pools, so that you can truly immerse yourself in all that Iceland has to offer. Some of our adventures are included in your package and others are optional, so that you can choose whether to do everything or take time to rest when you need to.
Our private family owned farm includes cosy cabins that look out onto the mountains, a traditional farmhouse, a beautiful yoga barn and a bath house. Katarina will be teaching dynamic yoga classes and you can add options to hike with our Icelandic hosts or enjoy epic vistas while whale watching on the fjord.
When it’s time to relax, you have unlimited use of the bathhouse which includes a sauna, cold plunge barrel and an outdoor hot tub where you can soak while admiring the mountain views. You can also book a massage or osteopathy session with our brilliant therapist, Elodie Frati.
A trip to this part of Iceland would not be complete without a day out in the world famous Lake Mývatn geothermal region, where all that makes Iceland so unique can be experienced within a few hours, from powerful waterfalls, volcanoes, geothermal activity and a nature spa.
October is an ideal time to watch the Northern Lights and our remote location means that if they happen, we’ll have a fantastic show!
Who's Teaching: Katarina Rayburn

Katarina is a 500hr, Yoga Alliance approved, registered yoga teacher. Her classes are a mixture of Rocket yoga and Vinyasa flow so you can expect a dynamic and challenging class in the morning sessions. The afternoon sessions will be yin yoga to help you relax and recover at the end of your adventurous day.
Katarina will be teaching a welcome Vinyasa flow on the first evening, Mandala Vinyasa on the first 4 mornings covering the 4 elements, Air, Fire, Water and Earth and a farewell Rocket class on the final morning.
Classes are suited for all levels but you’ll enjoy them more if you are relatively fit and have tried a flow class before.Your classes will be 90 minutes long and take place in a cosy studio looking out onto the mountains. Yoga mats and props are provided for you.

We have 8 beautiful cabins located at the edge of our farm with mountain views. Peaceful and secluded, these cabins are very special – cosy and warm with big windows so you can feel really immersed in the wild nature all around you. Each cabin has an upper loft with a double bed and a lower floor with a queen bed, lounge area and bathroom.
We are also able to offer more budget accommodation options in our farmhouse and barn rooms where we have 6 private rooms. Bathrooms are shared between 3 people.
Our Icelandic chef will be creating hearty meals served in our farmhouse kitchen. Meals are created with quality Icelandic ingredients such as organic lamb and fresh fish and game meats such as goose, with great emphasis on using what nature provides in the region.
Vegetarian and vegan meals are possible and our chef can accommodate special dietary needs but please do let us know in advance.
We do not serve alcohol on this retreat but if you would like a glass of wine or a beer on the day out when we visit the thermal baths, that is fine.
Our Iceland retreat has something for everyone. The yoga is dynamic and layered so it’s challenging for all levels. We have a bathhouse with a sauna and hot tub and massages so there is plenty of scope for relaxation.
The adventures are varied and optional, so you can choose how active you are during the retreat. Our location is remote and wild so it does take some time to get there. There are big mountains to climb if you want to challenge yourself, or you can hike around the valley for a more scenic experience.
